Here at Eldhraun Holiday Homes, we can offer you a unique fly-fishing experience.  In our river Eldvatn we nurse and care for our sea trout, fly fishing only and all fish must be released again.  River Eldvatn is formed by 3 creeks which emerge crystal clear from the Eldhraun lava field. We offer guided fly-fishing tours or solo, along with accommodation in one of our holiday homes or guesthouses. Prime time for sea trout fishing is in April and from the end of August through October.
Eldhraun Holiday Homes are located 20km away from the village Kirkjubæjarklaustur down road 204. Here at our farm Syðri-Steinsmýri, we rent out three holiday homes which all have a private hot tub. The edge of Eldhraun lava field is in our yard and during the winter months this is the perfect location to view the northern lights and stars.
