The author Ófeigur Sigurðsson will give a talk about his book A Novel of Jon in Hotel Klaustur at 20:30 pm. It is about the fire clerk Jón Steingrímsson. Ófeigur was awarded the 2011 EU Prize for Literature (EUPL) for his second novel, A Novel of Jon.

Since 10 March 2013, at least seven micro-earthquakes, ranging in size from magnitude 0.4 to 1, have been detected over a small area ~4.5 km to the north-east of the volcano’s summit.
