The Disappearing Glacier: Tindfjallajökull Expedition

Join us for a captivating and immersive journey into the heart of Iceland's ever- changing landscapes. This mapping adventure takes you to one of Iceland's lesser- known but awe-inspiring glaciers, Tindfjallajökull, which is rapidly retreating due to climate change.  Embark on a hands-on scientific exploration as we map and document this vanishing natural wonder before it fades from the world’s sight!
What you do on this expedition matters now and for future generations!

Special Notes: Due to the Scientific nature of this tour, group sizes are limited to ensure each participant receives personalized guidance and training.  Katla Geopark reserves the right to make changes to the plan based on weather and safety dynamics (IE, Switching days, to dead ice mapping or different glacier edge mapping, etc).

Join us on this rare opportunity to become a Katla Geopark Civilian Scientist, mapping Tindfjallajökull and contributing to vital climate research. This is more than just an adventure... It's a chance to make a meaningful impact while experiencing one of Iceland's most stunning and dynamic natural wonders!
