Katla Geopark’s Geoweek 2025

Geo Week 2025 was celebrated last week with many events and offers. The geopark would like to thank everyone who participated in the Geo week, both companies and individuals who participated and of course everyone who attended events or took advantage of the offers.

As usual, there were offers, events and geopark geoweek products from many companies, e.g. Zipline, Skool Beans, Lava Show, Midgard, Ey Collection, Hotel Klaustur, Lava Centre, Katla Centre,

 SouthCoast Adventure, Soup Company, Hotel Laki, and Katla Woolen Knitting Factory.

Many events were held during Geoweek, for example there was an online vote on which waterfall should be the waterfall of Katla Geopark, the new view point at Þorvaldseyri was officially opened, Open house at Þorvaldseyri Farm, presentation about Víkufjara beach and many more.
